What is Hardcore?

The Hardcore construction is made with 100% high density PVC foam.  PVC is polyvinyl chloride and it will never absorb water.  Each board is then laminated with a full carbon wrap and this is enveloped in an S-glass shell.  High quality resins are used to seal the package for a durable, long life.  This construction is what allows DOYLE to achieve ultra thin rails that are the most durable on the market.  DOYLE boards are "high end" in price and performance  The pay off is durability, reliability and performance.

Directional Freestyle

This is a full on high performance directional shape.  It has symmetrical square tips for a longer "effective edge" in a short sized board.  The tail has a quad fin configuration and two small fins reside on the nose.

Bottom line:  this is a shape that does it all, heel-side, toe-side or fakey riding.  With a super powerful tail, the rider is given plenty of bite to load for the biggest jumps of any board made.

This board shape is designed with 2 foot straps on the center line.  Pads and straps are standard.

Length               Width (inches)
   5'5"                            16.5
   5'2"                            16.0
   4'11"                           15.5

What is Performance

Weight, stiffness and reflex will make or break the performance characteristics of any board.  DOYLE Hardcore boards are light and stiff.  They are specifically made with a high reflex response rate.  A board that recoils back quickly after loading and flexing feels more crisp and controlled. DOYLE achieves this essence by pairing a high-density core with a carbon shell.  DOYLE does not use soft core foam or soft shell construction which are more prone to failure.

Bi-Directional Freestyle

This shape is for riders who do not want to jibe.  It's as simple as a snowboard:  put your feet in the straps and they will never move.  Transitioning from one direction to the other is nothing more than wake-sliding the board.  This design has a five stage rocker.  The mid-section is flatter, progressively rocked up on the ends, complete with a kicker in the last two inches of the board.

Bottom line on this shape:  great edging with incredible up wind mobility.  The board bottom is flatten out in the middle for efficiency when surfing.

Two fins are placed on each end with the optional of four heel-side fins.  Pads and foot straps are standard.
